3 more days...
Are you READY?

LifeDance 2012 happens this Saturday everyone! Brace Cebu...brace. It will be EPIC!!!
Since I'm part of the roaster of the production photographers I had been staring and staring and staring at my gears and all the past week, making sure every single item on my checklist is accounted for. The biggest event to happen in Cebu!
Just like any photography assignment I go beyond the preparations of my gears. I always want to be appropriately dressed for the occasion. And this one definitely calls for the urban chic!

Trusty utility belt for photography with the lens caps and all will have to sit this one day out (the affair goes for 15 hours...). Out the closet comes my more casual Gucci belt bag. I like to go bag-free, therefore, worry-free.
(I use a belt bag when in concerts).
Definitely it will have to be flats. Comfortable blingy shiny sparkly flat sandals (you know me...) to last me 20 hours.
Since it's given that I shall be flaunting my black LifeDance shirt, ahihihihi...I went BLING shopping.
I was thinking silver...All silver wares are from Forever21 (ehem, they were on sale).
I've got to have a color. Bright one! It's hot pink for the night. I couldn't resist newly acquired teal beads and crystals so I'll throw it in too.

See you all on Saturday!
Gates open at 1pm at the Boardwalk.
Do check out their Facebook page here for more details.

It's more fun at LifeDance 2012 !!!

Christmas holidays everyone! Have you gotten your shopping done already?...
Have you decided how your look will be this season?
Moi. I have decided this year's look will be based on make up Christmas gifts I got. My favorite south sea pearls from my mother will be dressing up ears.
Hair gets the extra wave after being ties up in a bun all day...

The compact with eyeshadow and cheek blush I got pretty much defined everything... it will be neutral on the eyes. With the black eyeliner as accent. Much as I want to keep doing the winged tip style I will opt to take the advise of my make up artist friend to just avoid the wings. It will make my eyes smaller. There will be times for it though. But for the Christmas family card, I will stick with the regular and simple line above the eyelashes for a fuller look, ala Adele. (oh, she's my most fave!!!).

Shimmery pink lipstick...

Layers and layers of mascara...

Neutral palatte...

The H&M ring is from a girlfriend...

How about for a more casual ensemble.
No change in make up. Just the accessories.

Golden studded tiger bangle from Doc Ann...

Merry Christmas to my dear friends from all over the world!!!

After all those heavy make up, big frizzy hair and all black ensemble I just had to take a breather today.Hehehehe... ( I had to shampoo my hair at 1.30 in the morning after the party).
Stacked on my bracelets for comfort...

Is it bling-ing?
Ahihihi...
It's from the Belle Trio lovelies. A starfish!
Blinging starfish, thank you very much.
It will surely go with my uniform. Aka, jeans and tee shirt.
And the occasional formals.
...coffee dates.
Especially the coffee dates.
hahahaha!

My photos don't do justice to this wonderful love of a sea creature.
You have to visit Belle Trio.

Always always giddy-licious to see a small blue box, ahihihi. (At times, red).
Look what I got!
It was love at first sight when I saw this online.
Chunky.
Green (you know I love green!).
A gem.
Everything I had been looking for the whole summer wrapped into this gem of a green cocktail right:

Isn't it just lovely?
And I also had to have the dainty bracelet...
A cousin is getting married today. These gems would just be so perfect for the occasion...

Small green gems surrounded with brilliant stones. Alternated with pearls. (Piled on with my own eternity bracelet from my mom).

Oh, I have not crossed the bridge. HAHAHAHA...
You know me, I stick to the affordable accessories and these blings are no exception...

You can find more here: Belle Trio

Thanks Silver! It was really really cool to have met you.

We shall meet again...hehehehe.

How I dress up for an event. I have a certain uniform. I always, always go event-appropriate. Yesterday's event was no exception. It was indoor. Airconditioned. It was good for moisturizer/BB cream/powder combo, in that order. I don't usually do the winged tip during work, I keep it simple.

Event was in an airconditioned room so I figured (correctly) that it was safe to wear eyeliner on the lower eyelid. I go matchy-matchy, so yesterday was light and frosty blue ( I wore my ever realiable blue Rajo Laurel blouse). Layered the eyeliners blue and black on the upper lid.
Regardless of the venue I almost always load up on the mascara, just for some extra kick on the eyes. That will be where my clients/subjects be looking most of the time as I snap their photos...

Dressing up for work also nurtures my love for make up and accessories (although I tone the jewelry down to be more appropriate with my role, hehehe).

Fooling around with Photoshop and plug-ins...
Nothing major actually. Clearly I need more practice.
It's the Topaz Simplify. I chose the watercolor effect. I find it cute, although I don't think I would be using these for work. Just for kicks I spent an afternoon tinkering with the controls...

The left photo is the original photoshopped image. The right photo is "watercolored"...
Make up looks good, creamy. But the chain details have disappeared.
You may recognize the photograph from the spring make up entry I did months back.
Like I said...
more practice please. ahihihi...

There's a cool story of my bracelet. Crystals once again. Have I mentioned I love crystals anything?
During our school supplies buying spree at the mall I passed by the accessory section and this bracelet caught my eye. Hmm... P150. ( US $ 4.00). Not bad. You know, just for kicks. Did a quick detour to the counter to pay for my find. I stood spaced out in line pretty excited about what school shoes to buy for the kids. I had the exact amount of Php 150 on hand. Sales staff got the bracelet, punched the register and said, "50 pesos ma'am".
"What?"
"Ha? Waaiit...", the sales staff did some punching again, totally surprised as I was.
"Yes ma'am, that's 50 pesos", she finally says.

I didn't believe her. I asked for her to check with a supervisor. Someone did come and confirmed the price was 50pesos.
Oh.
I had a big smile on my face. The sales staff had to laugh. But I actually thought of leaving the Php 100 I already had in my hand just in case the supervisor was mistaken. I mean, poor girl if the price was actually Php150...
But they insisted it was just '50 pesos ma'am'. Good for me then!

So here I am with my 50 peso crystal bracelet. Finally had the chance to wear it to a meeting this morning. Lo and behold it matches my Pabher shoes! Ahihihi cool ha?

(little girly declared a break for a kissy...)

Athough summer never actually ends in this part of the globe, it had already been announced to be officially the rainy season...
The start of another school year.
Does not necessarily mean we could stop wearing our summer dresses really...
I have taken the whole household on a more relaxed and slow pace since Friday so as to let the kids be ready for the first day of classes tomorrow.
Today I have decided to unofficially "end" summer vacation in black and silver...

A have a few pairs of Flojos. Never really cared for them the first time they hit the stores. Yet another brand of flipflops (translation slippers) which I will use only at the beach and house.
But how can I resist when spied these pair by the window... sparkly. That did it for me.
And they're not rubber! Finally...

It's my "gotta go get something from the supermarket right now" slip ons. Ok, so still slippers type. Just sparkly...hehehe

I hope everyone had the greatest summer!

Thank You Boss!

I shall wear red.
As you know as respect to my father who passed away a month ago, I have promised to wear (something) black (sign of mourning) until the 100th day anniversary. The black infinity scarf/vest is the perfect accessory.
And of course, beads. Strands of beads.
Multi-colored.

A very happy Mother's Day to all mothers all over the world!
It should be the perfect day to wear RED!

(Throughout the photo session I had to carry the umbrella. There's actually a storm signal in the country, Ahihihi).

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to you mom. We love you. Thank you for being strong. Thank you for being there for us always. We are forever and always most proud of you.

Once again, I would like thank Tina Campos Creations for the beautiful bead necklace.

Thank YOU Boss.
