You would not believe the sleepless nights. Have you ever gone through something like when you are desperate to find something and yet it's just not in any mall? Or ebay? I knew there has got to be a way.

To put all those charges, cords, flash drives and such in one place... but definitely not a bag.

I had been using a transparent plastic pouch for the longest time. I always favor see-thru. Saves time. But gadgets got more. Reaching in for the right charger became tedious. You know what I mean? You see the tip of the right charger at the bottom of the pit, why of course, right? You'll have to take out the ones at the top. Put them all back in again. Arg! Too much arm exercise. Hahahaha, really, that tires my brain.

I need something where everything stays on top.

See through.

Clean.

Separate.

NOT bulky.

No brainer.

Found it at National Bookstore. I didn't even notice the brand. Isn't it just perfect?

Each and every charger/cord has it's own compartment. One big zippered section for the extra cords, battery covers, card readers, flash drives and mini speakers.

You can roll it up.

You can also just plunk it into your luggage (this was the most important requirement for me).

I love just how it contours in.

Although I had to make a minor/major alteration. I sewed velcro strips to keep the gadgets in and not spill out when I carry the whole thing.

I love it!

I can see everything at one glance. Nobody has to ask me where the charger of this or that, is. I can see what's there. And in this case, I can see what's NOT:

But alas, I don't have an iPhone and I don't think I'm getting one any time soon coz I just got the Blackberry. But I have my most beloved iPod iTouch. My perfect companion. So I figured they must have an iTouch case!!! And indeed they do! HOW TO GET ONE?! HOW TO GET ONE?!

I am loving my future polka dots. Ahihihi...wishy wishy Santa Claus...

Just a short update of my gadget dilemma a month back.
Finally got the iTouch to sync with iTunes.
I actually forgot all about it. Haven't tried to sync since, I figured after 3 tries it's not gonna miraculously work in a snap of a finger.
But yesterday, it did. Not by some miracle. hahahahaha
Ok, it was a no-brainer. It was only yesterday that I actually looked what version I had, I knew it was the latest but what. No problem there...
So why haven't iTunes been able to detect my latest version?
Because it was only yesterday that a pop up told me there's an iTunes 9.1.0...
So there you go!

Yey! Finally got it.
I have forever in the quest of finding the perfect case for the iTouch. I've been hearing horror stories about the LCD cracking and such. Remember I got the soft pouch. I figured it didnt offer enough protection. Finally I find this. It's actually a portable GPS case. Perfect! A hoodie, as they call it. One side is hard so it can protect the LCD no matter where I put it (in my case, most of the time, in my bag with all sorts of girl stuff).
See it fits perfect, with breathing room.


What's more, there is storage at the back for the accessories like the earphones. That way the iTouch does not get scratched ever. Just flip the 'hoodie' up and viola!
The material is neoprene so it's durable.
And don't you just love its polka dots? I love colors! Especially stuff which I usually put in my bag. Someday Ill take a pic of "what's in my bag" so you'll see what I mean. The polka dots would help me locating it in a second, sans the endless and frustrating rummaging thru a dark pit of girly bag! hehehe.
...and it didnt cost much.

In between assignments and mommy duties I had been whacking my brains for movie titles I have missed for the past 2 years and download them to my iTouch. Now have several but I've not taken a peek at any of them. Saving them for times that I'd totally get knocked out bored. Last night was an exception though.
Hannah Montana The Movie.
You know how the actress/singer Miley Cyrus has been getting mixed reviews as of late for her teen-age "ways". But I don't buy those rumours and tabloidey stuff either. I just let them Hollywood spirits be. Afterall nobody really knows what goes on in those heads. So I'm not partial to any of them. I take them as they come, as they are. This 17-yeard-old has been making headlines lately in my mind. I think her songs are pretty cool. Her dances, moves, maybe not be for my 6-yr-old but I like them. So last night, when everyone was busy with watching the news I was watching Hannah Montana.



Surprise! Surprise! She's good. Okay, so it's not a complete surprise, I've been watching her on tv the past years. But the movie, inspite of all the bashes it had received is actually good. This clip most importantly.
Doesn't this reflect me?
I was moved.
It was like they just had one camera guy over there going wherever he pleases. And by the looks of it, he didn't even care about carrying along a lighting guy with him. You can tell it was a hot day. Miley's face gets shadowed over with all the sunny back lighting. But of course, I can never tell. They could have reflectors and diffusers all around, giant giant giant big ones. Of course they had extra lighting. Or again, maybe not. I don't know. But I love the scene. Love the cinematography on this one. Formula, yes, of course. The troubled teener whose gaze sweeps from one important character's face to another. I expected her to faint. But then again, that wouldn't make any sense coz they were going to have a successful fund raising of a concert. And so she non-chalantly says,"I can't do this.", under her breath. I love how she appears unmade up. It's like a scene from an all out rock concert. The glaring heat of the sun, the crowd, the simple costume, the tied up hair.
And I love the song.
I have the whole soundtrack in my playlist.
Last night it all came together.

41 degrees C in the car!!!
And so it is official. I do not have that extra time in my hands nowadays.

Once again, I saw, for a full-time mother, that is good news.


Almost the end of April.
All work is done, saved and stashed away. Hard drive cleaned.
The Holy Week was spent in Bacolod. Every 2 years the clan get together in Prudencia, an hour drive away from the city of Bacolod. We get to Bacolod by land. It had been a happy frenzy leading to road trip day.
Although we had been saddened by the passing of our dear Tita Lita in Iloilo, we just had to go on. The number of relatives attending this year had been cut to more than half but it was okay. For the kids, we had to get the show going. They had been anticipating this trip for the past year. And Tita Lita would have insisted that we go.
Left Cebu at 4 in the morning. Boarded the car on the ship to San Carlos City (2 hours trip). By 12 noon we were in Bacolod. And of course, a hearty lunch at Tita Cecile's house.


Lookey lookey, my sister-in-law's bag made of recycled materials. I just love it!!!


This is my pouch. Bought it 2 nights before the trip. That's the new iTouch. The pouch is a Rajo Laurel Rags2Riches. Hand made by the industrious ladies of Payatas, Manila out of recycled fabrics. Fabulous, isn't it? It houses my iPod quite well, actually.

How far and how should you trust your husband? hehehe.
Seriously.
The past years I have heard Joel say,"You could sell that for a good price."
Great!
Not. Especially when the subject of the idea is a newly acquired gadget or what have I.
Attachment issues. Well, more like...I earn whatever I get. Yep, Im talking about money. So why would I wanna sell?
But 2 days ago, Joel spied my ipod. "That would sell for a good price. Why don't you try."
There goes the dreaded suggestion. HAHAHAHA. Give up my music? It's my baby!!!But experiences the past years have taught me one important thing. When Joel says go, I go. He doesn't say go for nothing actually. He thinks things over. Thoroughly. Over and over and over. It would really feel like he's taking forever over one thing. But when he has reached a decision, you can be sure that goes deeper than it seems.
Without batting an eyelash I spread the word around. (Didn't even hold my breath.)



In less than 24 hours, my beloved ipod gets sold and found a new home.
Joel replaces it with this:

Told you it goes deep.
