I simply could not NOT make the mug jackets... I just crocheted away!!!

Used different stitches I learned for each jacket...

And for my man...

I'm back. Much apologies for the month-long absence. I didnt know where to start so let me just share with you the photos of what I had been up to the past month.
Remember I took up a new hobby?
Crochet.
That's what's been happening in this household. Among other things.
As usual I captured the moments with the wall in our laundry area as the background. The light there is superb at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. And that's when the kids get home from school.

The headbands...

A very beautiful market bag, pattern courtesy of Lauren of Daisy Cottage Designs. Please check out her blog hereI even copied the exact colors. My girls love their bags! Thank you Lauren.

Big sis wanted the flower. Little sis opted for a multi colored ribbon.

And her headband. She wasn't going make it easy for me, she wanted hearts in pink. It was my first time to construct a headband from different pieces. Lovely isn't it?

Thank You Boss!
Thank You for guidance.
Thank You for beautiful creations.
Thank You for the courage and inspirations.

HO! HO! HO!
It's definitely that time of the year once again.
All together now:
"W-I-S-H    L-I-S-T!"

Let's start now shall we? Please note that this year I have clearly cut down the list to half. Ahihihi... sign of maturity? hahaha I would hope so. Santa? Please? Pretty please?
Wish list means, I wish. I can't buy due to non-existent budget, therefore feel free to give me any on the list. hahahahahar!!!

1. There's no going around about it, but I want this:

Nikkor 85mm 1.4 ! Enough said.

2. If rumors are true... the iPad Mini.

Retails at $250-350 (the lowest-end model). I never wished for an iPad. Solely because of it's size. I got my trust ipod touch and it's size and function suits me fine. It's just like having an extra thick hanky in the bag. I wished on a tablet of another brand... coz of it's 7-inch size. But I really want an Apple. VIOLA!!! So an Apple I shall wish to have: (for size comparison, a regular iPad is on the left and the iPad mini on the right). Perfect for my small messenger bags).

These pictures appeared on a Chinese blog. Apparently it's a photo of how the iPad mini will look like although nothing is yet confirmed as of press time. Rumored release date is October 10. Hope it's true. Hope  I'd get hit with an iPad mini on my head, I wouldn't mind the bruises. hahaha. Isn't it perfect?

3. Macbook.

Enought said. (Oh, wait... I just need to say, this would be the perfect partner for my photography). Ahihihi

4. YARNS!!!

Lots and lots of yarns! Why is there shortage of good yarns in this city? And if you do find one, why is it expensive? P 475 a piece. For me, that's expensive. Oh well...

(My own photo of the yarns)

5. Crochet hooks

Isn't this just too cool? I could yarn a day away! Ehem... while you're at it... you may include the clay I can put on the handle for comfort. hahahahaha! Shameless, ain't I?

6. And last but not the least:

I wish for world peace and good will to all men!

I, thank you.

Have you got your wish list done yet?

I would like to thank my fellow photographers who volunteered their time, talent and dedication to take wonderful photos of Xterra Phils last March 17 and 18 held at Amara, Liloan, Cebu.
Michael. Who I've encircled above. Hehehe, I only realized he was in this area when he posted a photo of us other photographers who were stationed across on the pier waiting for the swim leg. Thank you Mike!!!

Icky!!!

Borg, who braved the steep climb down the pier. But the risk was worth it, his photos were cool.

Matt! I owe you one dude. I only took a photo of your back. Ahihi

James... now watch him in action!

Marivic!!! She was also with the team last year.

And Robo...

Thank you my friends!!! We did great, congratulations are indeed in order. All those wonderful photos to document the city's biggest event.

Until next year! ...hmmm or August? hehehe

If the 33 C degrees temperature this part of the world has been having any indication...it is officially summer. Yes, we have the tendency to skip the season that is spring and jump right into the hot hot summer.
For yesterday's lunch with the trusty photographer friends (none brought along a dslr) I decided to debut the summer look. As you may have noticed, I chopped off another 2 inches from my already short hair. Im loving it!!!
A cool see thru gypsy inspired blouse I got from a flea market tops the look.
My friends give me make up. Most recent gift was a navy blue and frosted blue eye shadows from Doctor Ann/photographer. Oh my dear make up artist/designer friend Sidney Gonzales I hope you will be proud of me, how I have learned from you. The make up look I can do in 7 minutes. Yes, a swoosh swoosh of light foundation with a big round brush does the trick for my skin.

(Well, let me just leave you a cheesy spaced out photo of me. Ahihihi it was a hot morning, I have a big foam on top which we were drying out which acted as a diffuser...)

Blue eyeshadow by Elf, brown eyeshadow by Estee Lauder, foundation and loose powder both by Maybelline, black eyeliner and brown eyeliner both by MAC, lipglass by Forever 21 and lipstick by Clinique.

Have a fun and safe summer y'all!!!

Last night the photography group gathered in support the 3 of its members who won in the Sinulog Photography Contest.

"You like me! You really really like me!" -- Sally Fields at the 1979 Oscars, ahihihi

Congratulations to Robo, Icky and Joanna!!!
We love you guys!

(Special thanks to Arlene C. Vargas and Dr. Anna Marie G. Pato for the photos)

We asked two lady photographers to take the above photo. In our madness, we were not able to at least ask for their names. Ladies, if you still remember taking this photo, please email me!

SINULOG 2012!!!
'Tis the day of the year that gives everyone and anyone in Cebu a justified reason to do a crazy dance anytime anywhere. Especially in the streets.
Held on the third Sunday of January, it is the festival that celebrates the Filipino's acceptance of Christianity.
History says that Sinulog comes from the Cebuano word "sulog" meaning "like water current movement". Just like the forward-backward movement of the Sinulog dance. At the Basilica de Sto. Nino, you will find old ladies bearing candles offering their prayers with their hands up on the air while dancing forward and backward. Sinulog is a 9-day celebration, with the grand parade on Sunday. Tourists from all over the globe are drawn to this lively celebration.
Having experienced Sinulog for 30 years I say times have definitely changed. More elaborate floats, costumes and more crowd. And photography has taken a life of its own during the celebration. This year I decided to join our group for the photography contest...

Clever. And cool. The lyrics of "Batobalani sa Gugma" on the gown. It is the song sang by the devotees during a novena to the Sto. Nino while waving their hands on the air.

My friend and I, all covered up.

Converging at the start of the parade. It has gotten hot. I believe we are talking about buying ice cream. hehe
