You would not believe the sleepless nights. Have you ever gone through something like when you are desperate to find something and yet it's just not in any mall? Or ebay? I knew there has got to be a way.

To put all those charges, cords, flash drives and such in one place... but definitely not a bag.

I had been using a transparent plastic pouch for the longest time. I always favor see-thru. Saves time. But gadgets got more. Reaching in for the right charger became tedious. You know what I mean? You see the tip of the right charger at the bottom of the pit, why of course, right? You'll have to take out the ones at the top. Put them all back in again. Arg! Too much arm exercise. Hahahaha, really, that tires my brain.

I need something where everything stays on top.

See through.

Clean.

Separate.

NOT bulky.

No brainer.

Found it at National Bookstore. I didn't even notice the brand. Isn't it just perfect?

Each and every charger/cord has it's own compartment. One big zippered section for the extra cords, battery covers, card readers, flash drives and mini speakers.

You can roll it up.

You can also just plunk it into your luggage (this was the most important requirement for me).

I love just how it contours in.

Although I had to make a minor/major alteration. I sewed velcro strips to keep the gadgets in and not spill out when I carry the whole thing.

I love it!

I can see everything at one glance. Nobody has to ask me where the charger of this or that, is. I can see what's there. And in this case, I can see what's NOT:

Oh well, so who's got the universal charger for my NOKIA?

Before Ever After, first novel by Filipino author Samantha Sotto.

Practically brought it with me the past days while I went about on my errands. I had it in my camera bag during an event photoshoot even if I knew I wouldn't have the time to take a peek. It was just comforting to know it was nearby. Ahihihi...

Absolutely beautiful!

Simple, easy to read. I like it as it is. No deep extensive (to the point of confusing) detailed description of places and people. Just right. Just like the way I'd like my baked cheese and egg, if by any chance the author Samantha Sotto would somehow divulge the secret ingredient...

The stories go back and forth to centuries-old goings on, to five years ago and to the now. Shelley Gallus is a young widow whose already battered soul is pushed to take the journey to Boracay, Philippines, to confront a man believed to be her (apparently not) dead husband, Max. During their long flight, she listens and shares stories with Paolo, a not so welcomed look-alike of Max (who he claims to be his ageless "Nonno"). Both on the quest for answers. There are also chickens.

Before Ever After is a breath of fresh air. Sad, funny. Light, daring to be what it is.

(I would like to thank my husband for gifting me the book during a family weekend getaway when we swang by the bookstore...)

By now you must have heard about Samantha Sotto, the Filipino stay at home mom who wrote her first novel "Before Ever After" in the nearby Starbucks while waiting for her son to get off from pre-school.

She scourged the internet for literary agents.

Her very first novel is published by no less than Random House.

It had a book launching last July 27 at National Bookstore (distributor of the paperback version).

Definitely she is off around the globe to promote the book.

Got the chance to meet and greet Harper's Magazine assistant editor Rafe Bartholomew, who launched his book, Pacific Rims. A good read about the Philippines' love of basketball. For the launching, the book was on discounted price! Yey for me!!! hehehe


We got our copy signed. We passed on the food though, the kids wanted another kind...hehehe.
