Still in our weekend chill out in Bogo...on our way back to Cebu City there was this small waterfalls... My friends went down for some shots. Honestly I was too afraid to go slithering down with my precious camera in one hand. It's just me. ahihihi...
See, Aga took some shots. This is was the smaller fall.
I stayed with friend Icky (the one who shoot me with Seth under those clouds during lunch). When he turned, he spotted a little boy wrapped in orange, getting a haircut. I almost shrieked at the beautiful sight!!! We had to half walk half run across the road...

This is one of those times that I just do not tinker around with nature's colors. He looked so cute!

Then of course, I go crazy with the tint.

Apparently, nature's colors only worked with me on some certain angles. hehehe... It was a totally different hue when I moved a few steps to the side, confronted with the grey cement wall behind the little boy...

His sisters. He was the only boy in the family.

One sister just came home from church after attending a Flores de Mayo celebration (end of), thus the costume.

Icky asked the boy how old he was. He was four.

Completely stoked about a wedding invite at the start of 2011.
In a chilly mountain.
Love it!
It's gonna be a Breakfast at Tiffany's kinda scene, or at it's best, I could do my Angelina Jolie red carpet impersonation? ahihihihi...
"So can I wear black, since invite says 'Formal'?, I ask the bride-to-be.
"No", was her quick reply. "Invite also says no black please."
Wooosshh goes the simple black dress out of the picture.
What to do? What to do?
Chilly night, she said. It would almost always mean a shawl or pashmina. Hmmm...
off I ran upstairs and ransacked thru piles of vintage clothings I didnt dare give away. Finally I find a very old cashmere sweater I had swiped from my mother a good 25 years ago! And she had it for some 30 years from that!!! An uncle sent it from the U.S. My mom takes care of her gave stuff.

The fabric is still fluffy and can still hold its own against chilly nights!
Perfect!!!
Since black is out of the question, I opted for ivory. It would be beautiful. A simple ivory gown. I have yet to finalize the design but I've decided it is going to be a simple cut.
The shoes. Now this part is tricky. The landscape of the reception area grass. Maneuvering around in some heels of formal shoes would equal discomfort and danger in my case. And since I'd be lugging around a big enough camera (I decided it would be the D90 for the blog photos) I can't afford to slip, roll or tumble!
Yes, it's gonna be the taupe booties!

And yes, sometimes I splurge. Like, really really rarely. Very rarely. When something just very beautiful and practical comes my way.
A cute black Jimmy Choo purse should seal the ensemble perfectly.

I do hope I'd get a decent shot of everything put together during the occasion...
I am happy. Ahihihi...

I love vintage. Especially when I've inherited it (in a way. hehe)
It's my mother's bag. Yes, she's a bag and shoe lady since. Although she is not much of a keeper. She loves giving her stuff away. I once remember when I was 7 years old she used to have this big big shelf full of those beautiful delicate perfume bottles shaped like human figurines. Yep, she gave them all away. hehehe
So with some of her stuff I made sure I asked for them...for safekeeping of sorts.
Her bag. It's a gift from my father...45 years ago!!!
I'm guessing it's one of those imported bags. Our folks were fond of those. As you can see it needs a bit of a retouch. I'm still on a hunt for someone to do that for me.

Needs cleaning up. But isn't it gorgeous?
Another bag is this unique black and white weave number!!! It's 43 years old. Still in very good condition. But I'm always afraid to use it, looks so delicate. It's of hard material. More like a purse. I will use this soon, if I could find the right cloths to showcase such a beauty of a bag!

The floral design is etched on the cover.

It could fit 2 cellphones, an ipod, wallet and small camera. Perfect for this season's parties!

And for those who might have noticed my old looking watch...well, yes it is old. Approximately 35 to 40 years old. My mother's own Omega silver watch. It still works flawlessly. Papa has since gifted mom with a more modern watch so I swiped this from her wrist. Once again, for safekeeping. Ehem...hahahahaha! I love the watch!!! I've googled it and this silver Geneve series could fetch up to U.S.$ 400.
(Yep, I had to adjust the time to the 10:10 position for this photo op.)

Every morning before Joel goes off to work, he and Ava always do lots of pow wows. I didn't mind so much about the cluttered background. I think it's cute. These two are cute!!!
