Call time wasn't that early for our event in Tagaytay. We decided to swing by (ehem, more like go back down to...) Solenad2 in Nuvali to check out the Liquidation Sale in Aldo we spied the night before. And alas!!! What do I see? Can you still remember what number this fancy pair of rubber boots appear on my Christmas wishlist?

Well of course it didn't have the $200 price tag. It's by Aldo. Got it for a sale price of less than $50!!!

Allow me to share some shots from last weekend's event in Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay...

Thank You Boss.
Thank You for the success.
Thank You for the guidance.
Thank You for friends.

Where I was the last weekend.
Flew to Manila for an event. After dinner the whole production team rode up to Tagaytay. It was very very cold in Tagaytay. Fog pratically covered the road.

A noontime call time for the event.

A rendered photo taken with my ipod touch. The fog coming into the party area at the Taal Vista Hotel.
More photos soon!!!

After the beach wedding we needed to rush home, do some mental double checking, sleep early hugging the kids and wake up at 4am to catch a 6am flight the next day to Manila.
We hitched a ride with our friend, Eric, the man of the hour, up to windy Tagaytay!
It was Eric's wedding.
Beautiful beautiful Tagaytay was waiting for us.
Was able to take some photos of groom and bride...

Tracy!!!

with Super Mark!

Mark and my hubby

Jenn!!!

Hubby and I stayed in a quiet abode along the high way. It was pretty and clean.

I saw Starbucks Solenad in their 2011 planner and I made sure I dragged hubby and friend for breakfast there...

And here is the whole ensemble.
My own ivory gown.
My mom's own 40-ish year-old cashmere sweater an uncle sent from the U.S.
The sweater is in mint condition. All original hardware.
And yep, I used my Tiller bootie!!!
Worked like magic. Very comfortable indeed!!!

Yey!!! Hubby!!! Grand, isn't he? ahihihi...

Thank YOU Boss.
Thank YOU for the wonderful weekend.
Thank YOU for our safe trips.
Thank YOU for wonderful friends.
Thank YOU for Your blessings!

Completely stoked about a wedding invite at the start of 2011.
In a chilly mountain.
Love it!
It's gonna be a Breakfast at Tiffany's kinda scene, or at it's best, I could do my Angelina Jolie red carpet impersonation? ahihihihi...
"So can I wear black, since invite says 'Formal'?, I ask the bride-to-be.
"No", was her quick reply. "Invite also says no black please."
Wooosshh goes the simple black dress out of the picture.
What to do? What to do?
Chilly night, she said. It would almost always mean a shawl or pashmina. Hmmm...
off I ran upstairs and ransacked thru piles of vintage clothings I didnt dare give away. Finally I find a very old cashmere sweater I had swiped from my mother a good 25 years ago! And she had it for some 30 years from that!!! An uncle sent it from the U.S. My mom takes care of her gave stuff.

The fabric is still fluffy and can still hold its own against chilly nights!
Perfect!!!
Since black is out of the question, I opted for ivory. It would be beautiful. A simple ivory gown. I have yet to finalize the design but I've decided it is going to be a simple cut.
The shoes. Now this part is tricky. The landscape of the reception area grass. Maneuvering around in some heels of formal shoes would equal discomfort and danger in my case. And since I'd be lugging around a big enough camera (I decided it would be the D90 for the blog photos) I can't afford to slip, roll or tumble!
Yes, it's gonna be the taupe booties!

And yes, sometimes I splurge. Like, really really rarely. Very rarely. When something just very beautiful and practical comes my way.
A cute black Jimmy Choo purse should seal the ensemble perfectly.

I do hope I'd get a decent shot of everything put together during the occasion...
I am happy. Ahihihi...
