It's heaven!
My kids' first rosaries!
Roses...
Lolo Archbishop gave them cute little red rosaries that smell like roses from Rome.

Beautiful arent they?

Thank YOU Boss.

And the big reveal!!!
hehehehe
For this year's Halloween, my kids decided they were going to be mouseketeers!!!
I thought the idea was kinda cool actually!
How else to pay tribute to our most favorite MOUSE IN THE HOUSE!
I let them choose which circa they would want for their costumes. They chose the original 1955's uniform. So Annette F it is then...

Complete 1955 Mickey Mouse Club ensemble...the ears, white shirt with name on the front and original MMC logo at the back...
Although we made a big of a twist with the color of the skirt. Because it was Halloween we decided it would be black instead of blue.

My girls with my own 30-year-old Mickey Mouse stuffed toy which an uncle sent to me from Orland, Florida.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!
Have fun and be safe!

(all photos taken at the house)

Almost threw my Blackberry!!!
Editing, concentrating while the kiddos are taking their naps.
Phone rings, I reach for it without taking my eyes off the computer.
I cringed at the rubbery thingy my hand fell on!!!
Sat up with a start and almost threw away the Blackberry!!!
Now, wouldnt you if this is what you see and touch?
HAHAHAHAHA
It's the rubber bat the kiddos were playing with earlier. They had put it on top of my phone.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE?
Have you got your costumes on now?

And the time has come...
Time to open their piggy banks. We got these cute Disney banks at a friend's party about 2 or 3 years ago. But it was only a year ago that the kids have started filling it up with coins, usually P5 or P1. Joel struck a deal with them, if they fill it up, they get their wish gadget. hehehe...
Those piggy banks are filled alright!

It didnt really matter how much they got to save, as long as they learn the concept of saving for something they want.

And today was race day!
The Looney Tune Run at SM North. Start time was 7am. By 5.30am, Alyssa was up, way ahead of the rest of us.
She was quiet. Too quiet. If you know Alyssa she is never ever quiet. Except when she's scared or shy.

To every question I'd ask her, she'd just give me a 'yes' or 'no'. Now that made me nervous too. Normally, it would be a sign she's nervous. Which means she will sometimes refuse to move. But then again as time went by if there's one important thing I've learned about kids, Alyssa in particular, is NEVER to second guess her.

It was hot!!! We met a lot of good friends whose kids were also running.

And off they goooooooooooo!!!
That's Noy, remember him in one of my earlier entries? Philippine's own Ironman!
The Mastermind.
Joel planned to run along side Alyssa. Apparently things go crazy in a kids race...parents go crazier! HAHAHAHAH! At least I did. Never have I shouted, laughed and cheered all at the same ever so loudly! hehehe...
Then I remembered I had my camera. hahahaha

There goes my little munchkin in pink shorts.

Oh don't she just look so precious in her running shoes? hehehehe. Is that my little girl competing?
And she was smiling all the way. That really made me nervous. She seemed to be relaxing. hahahahaha. But then again, we did tell her to just have fun. No pressure. Apparently pressure was on ME. HAHAHAHAHAHA

I cut across to get to the finish. Propped myself on a very good spot to take photos of Alyssa when she crosses. Then I saw Mikele. YEY MIKELE!!! Noy and Amale's little girl. She came in FIRST!!!
...then I saw JOEL coming right behind Mikele, I mean, really close close behind...
which could only have meant one thing...

ALYSSA CAME IN SECOND!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a RUNNER!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
HURRAY ALYSSA!

First placer, Mikele, with proud parents Noy and Amale.

So okay, we may have made her 2-week training and nutrition a little by-the-book scientific...(might as well, right?) but we told her to take it easy, have fun. Winning doesn't matter. As long as she did her best and had fun. She did have fun! And she won! And on top of that this is the champ's statement:

"I'm glad Mikele won first prize, mama...coz Im her fan."
Awwwwww...

Thank YOU.
Thank YOU for good health. A safe run.
Thank YOU for very good weather.
Thank YOU for the bonus of winning.
Thank YOU for strength.
Thank YOU for the blessings.

Ava, who turned 3 on the 27th and Alyssa, who turned 6 on the 31st, with their grandma, my mommy.
A quick simple shoot at the house during her visit for the girls' birthdays.

I love them!!!

(my mom, while eyeing us prepare the set up: "How complicated could it be to get 3 or 4 shots?"
Her question was answered as soon as we started placing the kids. Haahahaha!)
