My mood's been a bit blue and slow since we got back. I knew that. Unfortunately, my kids see it too. They decided to do something about it. When I woke up this morning, older sis announced, "Mama, today is going to be your birthday!"
They made cupcakes and birthday cakes with their play dooh. hahahaha, so cute! Delicious to look (but not eat, sorry, hehehe).
I had to take photos...(after we pretended to eat them).

The photos are lightly edited. I already love the diffused lighting and textures. We all laughed at where I took the photos I just had to show you guys...

On the lid of a plate closet!!!
The windows are on 2 sides of the kitchen which gave me ample natural light. The lid had diffused the light coming from the windows behind it. The scratches on the plastic gave me beautiful vintage textures.
Ok, I need to buy me a decent softbox. hehehe

God bless my little girls.

Thank YOU Boss for family and love.

And the big reveal!!!
hehehehe
For this year's Halloween, my kids decided they were going to be mouseketeers!!!
I thought the idea was kinda cool actually!
How else to pay tribute to our most favorite MOUSE IN THE HOUSE!
I let them choose which circa they would want for their costumes. They chose the original 1955's uniform. So Annette F it is then...

Complete 1955 Mickey Mouse Club ensemble...the ears, white shirt with name on the front and original MMC logo at the back...
Although we made a big of a twist with the color of the skirt. Because it was Halloween we decided it would be black instead of blue.

My girls with my own 30-year-old Mickey Mouse stuffed toy which an uncle sent to me from Orland, Florida.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!
Have fun and be safe!

Sharing a photo of my little shopper during a trip to Manila. Love her looks on this capri jeans with diamond studs on the pocket and neutral grey floral blouse. The pink shopping bag gave her a dash of color.
Taken during an ice cream break. I was still crouching on my backpack when I looked up and saw her stand like this.

Photos like these inspire me. A feeling of family, warmth, happiness. Feeling of peace.
These 2 old photos were taken sometime 1987 if I am not mistaken. Me and my friends at Moalboal. Look at the randomness of everyone. Each one confident where he/she stands.
I guess I was a freshman in Fine Arts during this time.

Clearly these images I have never forgotten. They had been tucked away all these years into someone's old photo album. But look at my photos now...

As you can see...those old photos...they are still reflected in the images I take now. This is the reason why I love photography.
Warmth, love, peace.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!
or...happy 2 days after halloween night..! hihihihi...
What a weekend! Busy busy busy!
You know how it is during halloween, it's one big production in our household. Even though this year we were a little 'subtle' with the holidays we were still caught in its joyful frenzy.
The picture above was in 2006. We all went out as the Addams Family, minus Pogsly (we dont have a male child, hehehe). Joel was Gomez, I was Morticia and Alyssa was Wednesday Addams.
We roamed the dark streets of Mahogany Groove with the JOpsons. What a blast we had!

And year 2007 was the year of the Disney tv movie, High School Musical. We were obssessed! Zombie-obssessed seriously!!! I hand sewed Alyssa's red cheerleader uniform with glittery sequined E (for East High school) and pomspoms. Learned from the 2006 trick or treating that one pumpkin bag just wasnt gonna do it. So we printed this big paper HSM bag for them candies. Alyssa won best costume in one party. Ava was a fairy princess. But the ruffles and tutu bothered her so much she kept pulling them off, thus the absence of any photo of her.

This was the growing up halloween. Alyssa dressed as no other than the teen pop star of the year, Hannah Montana!!! Found a blonde wig, took a vintage shirt from a flea market, hand-sewed the gold beads (and on the pants), found a pair of black boots and VIOLA!!! She had the best of both worlds! HAHAHAHA! And that gold belt, its actually my sequin headband. hehe

...ohhhh dear little miss DORA THE EXPLORER!!! Isnt she a peach??? Boots the monkey is in her backpack.
Presenting... 2009...
I wanted to go Korean and dress up as Jandi of Boys over Flowers but the kids wanted to go as witches. This time we got ourselves costumes off from the rack. My pretty witches!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful halloween!!!
