I took a poll. What could hold my bangs sky high stiff the whole night? White eggs took first. But I would need hairspray to make the odor go away. I am definitely not doing aerosol so I went for the second in line. Bench FIX. Smells really nice. And very affordable at P90.
Drum roll please...

So where did I get a 1980 copy of Tiger Beat?
I didn't.
Hehehehe...
Googled and printed just the cover page, thus the crappy printing (it wasn't saved at printable size). I did find an authentic magazine on ebay but it costs P599. Would be cool to have it actually for the heck of it. But I didn't wanna spend more than I already have. And it's just for props anyway. It opens to this:

Yep, I borrowed an old fairytale book from the kiddos.
So all that could only mean one thing...

Tonight's THE PARTY y'all!!!

Welcome to the 80's...

Yep I'm gonna look like that tonight. Yes I look like a local celebrity of the 80's. Too bad I didn't find any photo of her looking like this anywhere on the internet. But she dressed this way very often in That's Entertainment Show.
Believe me, yesterday, I was contemplating of doing another ensemble change and go for the more subtle Debbie Gibson 'Electric Youth' look. But somehow feelings were stronger for this one so I kept it.
Completely forgot to take a photo of my big denim jacket though, which my friend Ann lent me. hehehe.
So...ladies and gentlemen of the club (those who have found my blog, hehehe)...
Well, you know the 80's. Made up meant full on.

what are you gonna be tonight?

EVERYBODY WANG CHUNG TONIGHT!!!

Thank You Boss.
Thank You for the inspiration.
Thank You for the patience.
Thank You for the success of my hunt.
Thank YOU!

Christmas parties everyone!!!
They're gonna keep comin' and comin' I tell 'ya.
Mine started last night. The event group Christmas party.
The invite said Summer theme.
Well, I went on my summery maxi dress, a denim jacket (it was raining) and...I figured it was a party so I'd wear heels.
Well, dang!!!
What a party!
Ann had this crazy game of basketball. It sounded simple enough at first but got really competitive and uber fun!
Running in a long dress, no problem. Out running the competition in heels was another story!
It was only on the 4th round that most of us girls decided to take it barefooted.
We didn't win but it was crazy FUN!

Lo and behold, I think I pulled a muscle. hehehe. I'm limping a bit but it doesn't hurt that much.
A major big one is happening tomorrow.
Remember what it is?
It's the 80's party y'all!

I have changed my look since and will be wearing a high enough heeled boots to complete my 80's new wave look.

It's official ladies and gentlemen: 80's pop star will be limping in her new wave boots tomorrow night!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
I'm so excited!

I have taken a photo of my look but will not be posting it here until a few hours before the party. It will not appear anywhere else (as far as I'm concerned anyway, hehehe) but here. Not even on my FaceBook.

See you all tomorrow!!!

Because I love...
I'm probably one of them zealous advocates of moving forward but deep inside there's a me that visits the most colorful era in this lifetime!
The 80's!!!
Excuse my mood board but I think it's okay. HAHAHAHAHA
Yep that era gave us Madonna. And Cynthia Stephanie Lauper aka Cyndi Lauper. Ahhh...my sweet Reebok Freestyle. I had them in 6 colors!!!
Repeat after me, BROOKE SHIELDS.
And SCOTT BAIO.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I love those times, colorful, rich, loud! Not that loud, beautiful loud. Fashion was in excess! Blings were everywhere from subtle to heavy!
Wayfarers? It only meant RayBans.
Excuse me when I break out in my Flashdance moves..."First...there was nothing..." and then came the 80's!!! HAHAHAHAHA
Nopes, Im not done with that era yet. I dont know if this was worldwide but in my part of the globe we had afternoon discos! Same good funky glittery disco parties, only in the afternoons, on Saturdays. Us students had curfews then you know. Hehehehe I am still on high! As you can see, today's fashion is a reminiscence of that era.
And the good news is... TSAARRRRRAAANNNGGGG!
Nopes, I didnt just google this one and swiped. This is a photo I took way back summer, May, of an actual Reebok hi cut Freestyle aerobics shoes!!! From a store in Hong Kong. For some reason I have yet to understand, I didnt buy it! ...Oh, it wasnt on sale, maybe that's why. HAHAHAHA.
But now Im desperately calling every friend in Singapore and Hong Kong to buy me one PRONTO!!!

Dont you just looooooovvvvvvveeeee...
What do you remember from the 80's?

That's my mom and me during the mid 70's, I'm guessing. The photo was taken during one of my papa's convention in Legaspi and we tagged along.
Notice my mom's blouse. Green. Maybe this is the reason why I have a weird somewhat surreal relationship with the color green, coz I always used to see it in my mom's wardrobe. She's fond of prints, up until now actually.
And look what I found in a thrift shop!!!
I love the psychedelic green of it! It's so E. Pucci...but it's not.
I'm even thinking of putting a bit of shoulder pads. HAHAHAHA so 80's I know. But with my body type I think I'm good for the 80's pads. The blouse is in perfect condition.

The buttons are even intact and complete. Diamond-like buttons. So cool!!!
I can't wait to show it to my mom!
