Last week we had a night of celebrations.
My sis-in-law's birthday.
Archbishop Joe Palma's birthday.
My niece Marie's graduation from med school.
My kiddo's graduation from pre-school.
And a long overdue reunion.

To celebrate the occasions, we had a private mass at the Archbishop Palace. Solemn and beautiful.

We all proceeded to Radissun Blu hotel for an intimate dinner with close friends.

Every time I see this on our table, my heart skips! It could only mean one thing...hehehe.

Marie...

Our private room

Tomato and white cheese with mint salad

The birthday celebrants were surprised with a very delicious chocolate cake!

Thank YOU Boss.
Thank YOU for a lovely dinner.
Thank YOU for wonderful friends.
Thank YOU for family.

It is, ehem, was, delicious!!!
All little girl asked for was a Kai-lan cake. But it has to be the moist choco cake of tita Sharon.
Sharon made the pink princess cake of little sis a few days ago. Totally different personalities my kiddos have. Totally different cake. I was holding myself back not to poke my finger into the sweet smelling icing as I carried her majesty deliciousness to my little girl's school for her party.
The smell alone could take you to heaven!!! I kid not, no sir-ree!

So these little pet hamsters...
Finally have their own hotel.

Yes, it was all about Nihao, Kai-lan...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY our little Sunshine!!!

Thank YOU Boss for my beautiful daughter.
Thank YOU for the guidance, spirit and love.

A new kind of WAKA as we want to joke about it! hehehe
Cebu's Japanese Style Sumibi Yakiniku Wakamatsu !!!
Have you been there already? It's our new fave "grill/eat-all-you-can" place.
Last time we took the kids here, big sis says,"This restaurant is amazing..."
So what better place to celebrate the eve of her 7th birthday but at the 'amazing restaurant'!

The state of the art smokeless charcoal grill.
Angus beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, fish, squid! Ask for it, they got it!. Deliciously marinated I should add.
Seldom do I go for these kind of dining but this just got me!
We always have fun cooking them cold cuts ourselves and devouring them to our hearts' desires.

And they are not pretty pricey actually.
Shio, Tare, MIso, Black Pepper, Teriyaki, Basil, and Butter Garlic.: their sauces are simply tasty!!!

**Burp**
HAHAHAHAHA

No complains on the staff! They are as alert and just as fast as you can say "next cut" please!

Do visit them at
Pacific Sq., F. Cabahug St., Mabolo, Cebu City

A pretty pink cake for our pretty 4-year-old!
It didnt matter to her how cheap or expensive. She just wanted it to be pink and princess-y. Hmm...a little google here and there, we came up with this!
Believe it or not, the cake itself costs only P480!!! YES!!!
It is yummy, yummy, YUMMY!
Hubby's cousin, Sharon did a pink chiffon creation for little kiddo. We provided the plastic crown, available in all department stores, by the way.

Isn't it fabulous?!!!

According to the little celebrant..."Mama, my heart is so very happy. My heart is singing! It's a beautiful cake!"

Thank you Sharon!!!

Thank YOU Boss for the guidance.
Thank YOU for this wonderful creation.

Happy birthday our Twinkle babe!!!

Thank YOU Boss!

Hi folks!!!
I had been quiet the past days. But not really in real life. Except for during the weekend. I made sure I did not have to do anything major which would take me away from my family. With work on the very first day of the year, I figured it was time to slow down a bit for them. Coz work frenzy begins once again soon! hehehehe

Birthdays of kiddos are coming up. Yep, 4 days apart this week. So Im on the hunt for the perfect birthday cakes! Little one wants her princess cake. Big sis wants her Kai-lan cake!

Yesterday I finally found both!
Super auntie Sharon will be making both cakes.
I am really excited. It is going to be fun!

Need to run now!
Gotta get some wrappers for the gifts.

Good vibes all around y'all!!!

Thank you too the readers who have emailed me privately! I love you too!
Yes, as I have randomly mentioned in my new "Korean" hairdo, it is my birthday today.

I dashed from one errand to another on this rainy natal day of mine, capped it with Japanese lunch with husband (it is HIS BIRTHDAY TOO you know...hehehe, cool ha?)
When I came home kiddos insisted I wear the toy crown coz I am queen birthday mom.
I love them little girls of ours!!!
It was just too cute it screamed photo shoot!

So off I ran once again to a meeting and more errands before our big family dinner at a pizza shop!
Simple and sweet.

I love you dear friends and family!!!
Thank you for your touching emails and text messages!!!

(I have yet to curl my hair for this afternoon's meeting, hehehehe)

Credits go to Ann for my sparkly bracelet.

Thank YOU Boss for today.
Thank YOU for another fab birthday.

YEY!!! Yep, that's what I do.
I PLAY with my hair. Regardless of season...length, color or whatchagots. Ahihihi...
Philosophy is...it will just grow back. Just be careful. HAHAHAHA
Yey! This afternoon, my new haircut debuts!
I call it my Korean look. HAHAHAHAHA!
It was the simplest no-brainer haircut ever.
Do-it-yourself kinda thing, actually. Yezzz, the NANNY DID IT!
Coupled with a curling iron...VIOLA!!!
Of course it takes time to style. But I LOVE IT!!!

Happy new hair!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Thank YOU Boss for the guidance.
Thank YOU for the love of family and friends.
Thank YOU for LOVE.

Found this picture on my desktop.
It's my birthday treat.
I finished it all up...by myself.
On my birthday, while the kids were asleep.
(Would have been too cruel for them to watch me eat it all and not have any...yep, I just really wanted to have it to myself. hehehe...no sin there actually.)
It's my guilty pleasure... pistachio and ice cream.

The month of January is a happy busiest month in the household. With every member of our family celebrating his/her birthday days apart!
January 27 is Ava's big day. This year she turned THREE!!!
We have started with our small quite dinner at the house during our birthdays in the 18th.
Middle of last year we have slowly began practicing "simple indulgence". I have been living my life like so the past 6 years. I am happier, more content, more grateful, relaxed and more blessed. Now we have gradually integrated this lifestyle to our daughters who are all too happy living a more relaxed and family-oriented days and nights.
Ava was surprised when I took her with me to pick Alyssa up from school. We pass this fast-food place everyday riding the jeepney. And BOTH girls were surprised when I told them we were getting off near it. The chorus of questions didnt stop. Did I want to buy something? Am I going to the pharmacy? Do we need groceries? Why are we getting off the jeepney? Are we not going to have lunch yet?
Imagine their sweet delight when I slowly lead them to this place!!!
Hehehehehe

It was a treat for both of them. It's all they ever wanted: chicken, rice and gravy.

Joel asked Ava what she wanted to have for dessert.
"Cake."
There was no other place to go for "that" cake.

And this is all she asked for her birthday.
"A new dress. Spongebob."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OUR SWEET LITTLE GIRL!!!
WE LOVE YOU!!!

(We would like to thank the kind people of CoffeeBean and Tea Lead, I.T. Park for making the night special for the whole family.)

Thanks BOSS.
Thank YOU for the wonderful blessing.
Thank YOU for Ava.
Thank YOU for wonderful people around us.
