Congratulations are surely in order for the Philippines Dragon Boat Team!!!
World Champions, no less...
On the 10th IDBF World Dragon Boat Championships last Sunday in Tampa Bay, Florida, USA, our team beat rivals from Italy, Germany, Macau, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, Puerto Rico, Hungary, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago to win 5 golds and 2 silvers!
Definitely our heroes!
Although they may not (yet) have the support of our government, the team, composed mostly of members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, stopped at nothing to breath fire and snatch the world title.
Congratulations indeed the Dragon Warriors!
They left the country without fanfare but Im pretty sure homecoming would be nothing short of a festival for the team.
Maybe we would be seeing them up on billboards soon?
I'd love that, they surely deserve it.
