Pneumatic tube system. Used by hospitals world wide. First time I ever heard about it was when I was in the hospital weeks ago. The system goes all over the hospital. Example from a nurses' station on the 15th floor going down to the laboratory. This will enable the staff to send important materials such as blood samples faster, more efficiently and securely. Urgent orders for medicines can be sent thru the system faster to the pharmacy. It's been around for quite awhile now gaining more importance in the late 19th and early 20th century for businesses or administrations.
But like I said, I only heard about it and saw it weeks ago. Very basic, simple...yet most effective.
The tubes are located overhead, some distance from a room's ceiling.
Now imagine me being wheeled out from the elevator on a stretcher en route to the 2D Echo Department. We pass by the hospital pharmacy so there's a pneumatic tube in the area. I haven't got a clue (yet) that this phenomenon exist. hehehe...
Now this canisters in the move fast. As compressed air is used. It will just be a black blur to us.
So imagine me, about to get an ultrasound of my heart seeing this above me:

A big black blur swooshing by. Just like that.
My first thought?

Arg!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
