Hehehehe yep that's Joel "sealing" the fate of two of our dearest friends.
A glorious day indeed! So much to celebrate about! So much more to be thankful for! Can you say H-A-P-P-Y? A gazillion times fold?
CONGRATULATIONS and BEST WISHES to one of my best friends! I just know they'd freak out if I mention their names here. So, not gonna do that. Hehehe. We love you guys! Have a wonderful honeymoon!
A wedding blessed and celebrated by the closest family and friends. The happiness of it all is still making me dizzy. It was indeed one of the best weddings I have attended. A simple and solemn civil ceremony at 3 in a rainy afternoon in the town of Compostela, the town of the free. Saturday morning BFF calls me up to arrange for a girls' night out (yep, time to scroll down to one of my previous entries). Pamie and I knew something was surely up. Between Saturday and Thursday (the day they will be flying off to the USA) the main event has just got to be on either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. And indeed, Wednesday it was going to be. Of course, I understood that being of the the BFF's still wont warrant me an invite as it was going to be a close family affair (they have after all, xxx number of siblings --multiply by 2 with the spouses, and about 3-6 kids to each couple and double the sum courtesy of the big number of the groom's family! HAHAHAHA! Ooooohhhh I jokingly made such a fuzz about it on my Facebook status. HAHAHA! But then of course I understood Joel was to be one of the witness. And I also understood they just gotta have an official photographer during the ceremony and her brothers were busy with work that day. HAHAHAHAHA! So there was no need for me to do a quickie petition for the "Y" middle name of my mother to be officially changed to their "Y" family name in the court. HARHARHARHAR! Thank you Nikon. Bow.
The officiating major was a blast! Never have I ever heard such a sincere, truthful and personalized ceremony. I almost forgot to take the pictures! I was too engrossed and amused with the things he said in the solemnization. What a TRIP! Have you ever seen an officiating major take out his cool guitar and sing songs for the newly-weds? Along with his wife? Well, if you haven't, you will surely envy me! Beautiful! Beautiful indeed!!!
Such happiness in that room. Watching my BFFs hold each other as husband and wife made my heart smile. I was embraced with the warmest feeling of love and sincerity.
Indescribable. Unforgettable.
I have attended other civil wedding ceremonies before but nothing ever prepared me for that glorious afternoon at Compostela.
And we all know going back to the city means passing by Liloan.
TITAY'S!!!

COFFEE, MASI AND CPA!!!
Could the day get any more perfect?

Apparently it could.
We were running late already. Almost 6pm and were still in Mandaue. We had to come up with a good game plan to take the 6 people in the car to each of their own destination in a click. Family will soon be going to the reception. I still needed to go back home, check on the kids, tuck them in for the night, transfer the photos, freshen up a bit, put on lipstick at least. Mind you, I very well knew the siblings have industrial digital cameras so I better get my party face on. Thanks Angel for the coolest fitting pair of jeans! I love it! Hehehehe. Jun had to go back to the clinic parking lot for his car. BFF and girlfriend hopped out at Grand Con. I got a taxi from there to go home, Joel had to go back to the office for his car.
What a laugh trip we had when Joel and I walked in. Much emotions! I was there! HAHAHAHA!
BFF's family from Ormoc and Manila came. Groom's family from Bohol too! We were, without a doubt, at the happiest place on earth that evening. Dinner was delicious of course. ( I managed to sneak a sip of soda while Joel was looking away). Speeches were said. And I sure said mine! HAHAHAHAHA
Happy happy happy!!! We love you both! No matter how long (and sometimes trying) the road to this night may have been, we are HERE!
We pray the heavens will always be your guide. That you wake up to this new day of your lives with heats full of love, joy, trust and contentment.
We do not need to believe in or expect forever.
Just believe in yourselves, believe in the person who you wholeheartedly took your marital vows with on the 13th day of October.
Believe in the love that you offer one another.
Believe that you are blessed
No trials or obstacles would be too great.
In this modern world of multiple choices -- believe in the reason why you choose each other.
Why you choose to be together.
Believe your hearts.
Believe you are loved.
Just believe.
And love.
Thank YOU Boss.
Thank YOU for giving our friends the happiness they deserve.
Thank YOU for letting them be together.
Thank YOU Boss.
