This is a coconut tree. Pretty much the kind which Jack Sparrow climbed on as he escaped the British army...
Peel the (hard) green covering, break it into half (it takes skills to peel and break it), you get this.
We eat the white yumminess inside:

After all the eating, the coconut shell does not go to waste. Creative Filipinos make this:

Saw one at a mall during our trip to Bogo. Bought it for 79pesos. A fitting gift for a fellow photographer who shall be leaving for Poland soon.

The night before Christmas the kids were busy preparing them cookies and glass of milk for Santa. Everything had to be perfect. Even the number of cookies was a big issue. Not 4...it was just too even. Not 3...it was just too few. Not 2...it didn't look good on the plate. The number 5 was perfect, not too many, not too few. Santa wouldn't be bothered to go and raid the fridge for more. Where to put them was even a bigger issue. Finally settled under the tree so that Santa would know where to put the gifts.
HAHAHAHAHA KIDS!!!
And so of course we all know who would end up eating them cookies and drinking the milk. So someone whispered me his request to make it non-fat milk. HAHAHAHA!!! Oh, ok, Santa.

HO, HO, HO!!!
