Let me tell you what and how it had been for me the past 4 days...
Ok, no need for the tissues, no drama actually, I just thought that sounded like a good intro for this entry. Hahaha
Last Wednesday, hubby had to go to his hometown for business. It was decided that the kids and the helper would go with him. They needed the vacation and visit the grandparents and cousins. But I had to stay behind. I had tons of work to do. It was ok for me at first. I mean, I figured I'd should be able to finish everything as the house would be peaceful and quiet. Well, I figured wrong. It was just too boring. After a tiring day out working, it was just too depressing to come home without the kids screaming in my ears. I missed them terribly. No husband to exchange ideas with while drinking the night tea. Even the tv set was not comforting. I thought I'd be happy to finally be able to watch my own shows with me alone in the house. But thought wrong again. My fave shows seemed to be never on no matter if I kept the tv set on for hours and hours. Unlike when the kids' shows were on, my fave ones would also be on at the same time, at a different channel!
The first night I slept at 3am and woke up at 6. A good 7 hours early for my afternoon shoot. I had time to sort the toys. Yep, in 2 hours, every single character was in its rightful box. Two kids, two personalities, two different tastes in toys. The box on the left is that of the girl who loves collecting Strawberry Shortcake. The one on the right is that of the girl who just can't get enough of Zoobbles! Ahihihi... aren't they just cute?!
Well of course by Thursday, internet connection goes busted. Something about maintenance work in our area. Just great!
Meals. Luckily and coincidentally I always needed to be somewhere during meal time. Meetings, a shoot, the likes. So it wasn't much of a problem. This meal? Leftovers from the previous night's meeting. Someone celebrated her birthday and treated us to chicken. Love it!!! So this was my lunch and dinner, Saturday night. Just one more night before the whole household comes home...
Well hello there Mr. Microwave... we meet again. (We don't usually use this.)
Well, I went on a little shopping trip. I needed some summer stuff...
Writing and coloring materials intact!
Whoopsie... I broke my own rule. I ate on the bed. Took off the legs of the kids' table and laid out my lunch. Ahihi
and watched tv while eating!!! Another rule broken... tsk tsk tsk. Hey, I was lonely. Hahahaha!
Sunday morning I picked everyone up from the pier. And had breakfast together!!! Yey!!! The house is filled with happy screams, fights and cute girl voices once again!
Thank You Boss.
Thank You for their safe journey.
Thank You for love and family.
