January 13, 2011, the City of Cebu welcomed her new leader of the church, (4th) Archbishop Jose Palma.
When we heard the news back October 2010 the whole family was ecstatic. I have known JoPal (as the family fondly calls him) since marrying into my Ilonggo family. I met him when he was the parish priest of Parish of St. Anthony of Padua in Jaro, Iloilo. And since then he had been a permanent staple of my life.
Together with the delegates from Iloilo, we gathered the night before his official installation for a welcome dinner at the Sacred Heart Center.

I went up close to him after the affair officially ended. Was able to take this shot after kissing his ring and he recognized who's sister-in-law I was. ahihihihi...(he and sis-in-law are close, but manang unfortunately couldn't make it)
