Yep, the ultimate Kevin Bacon dance movie remake had been on the works for some months now. It will be released summer 2011.

I hope it's just the theme of the prom.
It stars Kenny Wormald and Julienne Hough as the lead characters. No idea who they are? Nothing to worry much there. I'm just letting it pass. Too hurt to know it could have been THE Zac Efron dancing those crazy moves on the silver screen for me.
Well the original director Craig Brewer is still there. I'm not so sure if I'd take consolation on that fact though. Hey, it's my own opinion anyway. It's a free country.
But fear not, Dennis Quiad and Andie McDowell will be play the parents of little miss country girl.
Footloose was my ultimate dance movie. And yes they were not-so-well known actors if not unknown at all. I'm not so sure if it's a good idea for a remake though. But let's keep our fingers crossed. Everyone's got a chance in this world. Fingers crossed.

This movie would have nailed that starpower down. It would have shoot you up to uber-stardom that you could make a gazillion B-movies and we'd still pay $$$ to watch them.
But hey, Hollywood must know something that I don't, right? hehehe...
