A face of a typical young girl. Not much different from any other. Maybe except for the extra chromosome 21 which she was born with.
Otherwise, she is as punky, jumpy and happy as can be!
Last Sunday I was one of the lucky souls to witness the Down Syndrome Grand Family Day held at Ayala Center. It was a wonderfully fun day for everyone! Games, dance, songs, food and story-telling!

Down Syndrome. A child upon conception gets an extra genetic material which causes physical features and developmental delays. Some children lead healthy lives while some would require medical treatments. As confusing as why it occurs, Down Syndrome is most often than not, a very misunderstood condition.
But that Sunday, every single child and parent understood happiness, unity and acceptance.

Mr. Lee Jennie.
An Amrican who came to Cebu in 2005 to put up a business saw there was a more important sector of the community which needed his attention: the innocent children with Down Syndrome. He, instead, went on to volunteer for several months in an institution that sheltered these children. And ended up forming his own Adam Jennie's Christian Center for Special Children Inc.
With the vision to :"Provide an ideal community for special children quaranteeing their welfare and developing their full potential."
Located at Zone 1 #072 Catalino Ouano Street, Looc Mandaue City 6014, Cebu City, admission to the center is free.
