A Japanese kaleidoscope. One of Kyoto's traditional pieces. My girls got theirs from an auntie who came from Japan last week. The wrap is quite interesting as I have never seen textile being used on a kaleidoscope before. It's red. Very oriental.
It had been a very very long time since I've handled a kaleidoscope so I got pretty excited for my girls. They had fun indeed! Kept looking at it to no ends!
And according to Ava..."mama, a kaleidoscope is a rainbow butterfly?"
I just had to smile and kiss her. Coz that's exactly what you see inside. No better way to describe it.
