What better way to start Valentine's Day than welcoming a new christian into the Catholic world. We attended the christening of Angel Elise, the youngest of Fred's kids at 10am. My girls were so cool about it coz they would get to see Timoy (the brother). They just love 'their Timoy'!

Joel stood as one of the godparents

The priest (I didnt get his name) talked about life and death. I stood as the one of the self-designated photographers of the affair and had positioned myself on the pew behind Angel and the baby. It put me in direct view of the priest as he had the tendency to always turn his head to the right. It was like he was addressing his sermon to me as our eyes would lock in for about a minute or even more. Life and death. All of us fear death. But it comes whether we like it or not. And why must we fear it? I fear it because I do not want to leave my daughters and husband while they are still very young.
He talked about possessions. While we are living, we put so much thought and effort in saving financially for our family's needs. As of course, should be the case. But what have we been doing to our 'savings account' in heaven? Have we been putting enough? Have we been good to other people? Have we been kind? Righteous and a good christian?
I realized that unlike trying to acquire money, being kind is not even an effort. We should breath and live kindness. Little kind things everyday. Being a good person, in deed and heart. Then, there is no death of our spirit. Somehow, the thought of death isnt so scary anymore. Although I still would not want to go just yet. hehehe...

Leave it to mommy Angel to put on those cute little decors...

Here is one we got from our table. That little pic on the card? I took that. hehehe. It was a different kind of Valentine's Day morning. And we love it!
Thank you Boss for the love of family and dear friends.
