Origami ( from oru meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper") is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding. The goal of this art is to create a representation of an object using geometric folds and crease patterns preferably without gluing or cutting the paper, and using only one piece of paper. In modular origami several identical units are combined to form a figure.

It's the new passion in our house. Simply everyone is involved. It all started when Alyssa saw a little boy do oragami on tv. She then announced we go to the bookstore for oragami stuff. Wow, the paper itself cost so much. We did buy some but I stashed it hidden for now. Hehehe. These are the little animal heads we managed to make. Our first successful oragami figure!!!
Alyssa wanted to make one for Ava too.
It's such an expensive hobby. The instruction book for beginners is pricey. But we figured, this would be a good hobby for the kids. This ought to give the balance of calmness in a 6-year-old and 3-year-old's frisky selves. Hehehe. We'll see...
