We are all excited about this!
Built in 1919, this family ancestral house of Atty. Jose Poblador Concepcion, Sr. and Rosalina Benedicto Ledesma is one among the old beautiful homes in Jaro, Iloilo City. Located in 145 Washington, St., in a neighborhood of pre-war houses owned by relatives of Tia Rosalina, it is a modest single story square wooden cabin, wealthy with windows and ventanillas, supported by strong wooden stilts with an attached American colonial balcony and staircase. Like roots, this family home for the five female and two male Concepcion children growing up with their very socially active parents and adopted cousins evolved with environmental and cultural developments as well as lifestyle changes up to four generations. Its present owner, Atty. Antonio Concepcion Pastelero, the eldest grandchild of Lolo Pepe and Lola Ina, who was born in the house, has breathed new soul into the carefree chalet with its major structural repair in 90 years.
