Aaaaaand we're back! hehehe.
After a day of unpacking, cleaning up, chills in the middle of the night, anti histamine, headache pills, muscle pains and strains, I am back!
A 10-day trip to Joel's hometown Iloilo filled with love, fun, family and more love!
Arrived there on the 24th. Simply everyone was there! I miss them all already. I was thinking of copying my neice's blog of putting all pics in one entry and make one grand sweep of a blog but even I would not want to be looking at my own 30+ photos in one entry. Hehehe.
First day in Iloilo was busy busy. Last minute trip to the mall for more Christmas gifts! In fairness, we did it in 2 hours.

We had our traditional family dinner. This year, Reggie, Marie's boyfriend joined us. He was also assigned as Joseph in our traditional "panunuluyan scene" (where Mary goes to door to door seeking for a place to stay for the night). This was Alyssa's 2nd year to play the role of Mary. Ava and Kayle were the sheep and angel, respectively. I provided the sound of the sheep. hehehe

Invitations, parties, parties and more invitations every day! How I coped, I really wouldn't know.

This is a new place in town. Didn't hear so much about it though. But it's name clearly represents what I love: dessert.

So what do I order in this beautiful, cute and dainty place? An Italian Tiramisu, of course. Hmm, the cup was too small, the price was too high. But oh well, it just might be worth the shot. NOT. Did they even use lady fingers? I tasted no rum, no espresso. Sorry, but I do make a mean Italian Tiramisu. And I use the authentic Italian cheese mind you.
The coffee wasn't mind-boggling either. Way too small a cup. Way too high the price. So not the taste of a real macchiato. Geezz...which cooking show did you get your recipes from?
Well, so much for bad news.
Now comes the good news.

LA PAZ BATCHOY.

I didn't even get to take a photo of my bowl. I think I ate it in one big gulp. Super delicious!!!
Deco's the best!
And Ava loves it!!!

Even the more discriminating taste buds of Alyssa adores it...
