Entries from the past.
I had been playing with the idea of transferring my blog to this site from another a few years back so copied all my entries and hid them in my system. Finally I opened them a few minutes ago, read them and got carried back year 2007. I will be posting/pasting entries from my old blog. Here goes the first one: hehehe
As i finally woke up this morning at 8am to Ava's cry, first thing that came into my mind..."Time to breath now Ati, time to breath. Thank God for my life..."
This is the first day ever that there's nothing written on the big calendar hanging on our kitchen wall. No appointments, no calls to make, nowhere to go to, nothing, nada. So what am I gonna do when so much time in my hands? It's not like me to have much time in my hands. Id rather have things to do. hehehehe...what a month, whatta month...I LOVE MY LIFE. I realized Joel has already gone out jogging and Alyssa's still snoring sprawled on her bed and Ava has stood up already on her crib eyeing me and smilling. it's hers and my time for some moni-moni. She just turned 7 months yesterday and it's like she has acquired new talents overnight. And i just realized Alyssa is already 15minutes late for school. Naaahhh forget about school. She'll catch up. She's probably tired from our 9pm flight from Manila last night. I figured she needs more rest. We let her be last night and didnt protest when she still wanted to play with her toy golf set around 11pm. She's just 3 years old anyway. It's not like her college educationg will be in jeopardy coz of missing 1 day of nursery school. hahahahar!!! Our Manila trip had been planned a month ago. And knowing me, I didnt waste any second making a gameplan for the trip (like a month ago yet). The whole family's off to Manila for 3 days to attend the celebration of the canonization of St. marie Eugenie at Manila Cathedral (foundress of the religious of Assumption). We've been invited to attend the mass coz our Alyssa (full name Charlotte Alyssa Eugenie) is a recognized Marie Eugenie miracle baby. And together with other Eugenie's she will be taking part in the procession to offer flowers to the icon of the saint at the start of the mass. So everyone's excited. We've not been able to go to Manila last year and this trip is avery welcomed surprise. It's also gonna be Ava's first trip to Manila.
BUT BUT BUT BUT...before all that...came another surprise trip. Alyssa suddenly got a a very long weekend off from school so we decided to visit the grannies in Ormoc. But Joel couldnt be with us coz he has towork. So it was me and the 2 kids! Thank heavens for slings and luggages with wheels...otherwise it would have been impossible for me to be toting a 3 year-old and 6-month-old on a boat trip to Ormoc. Stayed for 5 days. Then it was back toCebu. And we had to take the taxi home. Did I mention we just sold our small car 6 days prior? Joel now reveals that he was supposed to surprise me at the pier that Sunday upon arriving from Ormoc with the new big car. But the delivery got delayed. hehehehe. So we got our surprise the day after when we rushed down from the room upon hearing a strange car door slam close in the garage! hehehehe
So it was back to the planning of the Manila trip. One word. Systematic. Took the 10.59pm flight to Manila. Cebu Pacific of course...now you understand why we had to take that night flight. hehehe. The kids were already in their pj's. Two strollers, two parents, two luggages, two kids. That was how it was. And the kids just slept during the whole flight. And Manila was still bustling when we finally got out from the airport at 12midnight. Full house. My sis in law, Manang cynch was already waiting for us at our cousin's house in Makati. Her daughter Marie was still our with friends. The kids continued sleeping till morning. And my buangit neice, Timmeerification hehehehehe came in the morning. And off we go for some serious shopping!!! Well, at least Alyssa did some serious shopping at the toy store (as promised by Joel). I bless the day when strollers were invented. But we had to get back home soon to prepare for the 5pm mass. And this is Manila. It takes time getting from point A to point B. manang cynch, Marie (another Eugenie), Timmee, Ava, Alyssa, Joel and I attended the mass at the Manila Cathedral. Of course, we lost our way and somehow ended up driving around Binondo. But we got to the church just as the procession was lining up. By then Alyssa was a bit cranky, sucking on her security scarf. So I had to carry her during the offering. But it was cool!!! Religious history. Something Alyssa could claim her very own. Our group was invited for dinner at Barbara's at Casa Manila. 11pm...the night was young and so were we!!! with the kids asleep on their strollers, we all went out for dessert and COFFEE OF COURSE!!! hehehe we wanted to stay close to the house so we just went to the big G.of course. hehehe.
Next day was shopping shopping shopping! cupcakes, donuts, crocs, flipflops, fully booked, baby food (none in cebu),baby stuff and clothes clothes and butingtings!!! and syempre i had to look my best coz i wouldnt want to look lusyang. harharharharhar! Dinner at cousin's house in QC. pasta, beef, souffle, banana orange slush, salad, shrimp, cake!!! It was a wonderful dinner with family...went back to makati around 11 or was it 10? Nino, chrissy, nang peachy, nang cynch, ava, alyssa, joel, me,marie, timmee (it was just like being in iloilo)...syempre, took the wrong turn again, we went our at Libis...but somehow we reached Makati by midnight. The next day...shopping shopping and more shopping! hehehehe Joel and Alyssa spent almost the whole day at the toy store while I pushed Ava around on her stroller doing the requisite browsing and shopping for the family. Met one of my BFF's Gwenie and her bf Roi for coffee at UCC. Their first time to see Ava. 6pm we had to go home. More cousins arrived from Bacolod. Too bad we could stay long in Manila. 7pm we had to go to the airport. 9pm we fly home to Cebu.
8 this morning i woke up to Ava's cry. Time to breath, smile, thank God for my wonderful family and relatives, safe trip and a wonderful weekend with the people I love.
